種族分析：Steampunks
Steampunks 的設定十分有趣，與同為 Awesome Level 9000 的 Bear Cavalry 可謂一攻一守，你努力興建我盡情破壞。Bear Cavalry 想盡方法 destroy 對手的 minion，而 Steampunks 則以 action 增強己方實力。細心一看，不難發現 Steampunks 有 Zombies 的氣息，能把 action 從墓地取回手中，甚至立即打出場中！
Minion
Steam Queen (5) x 1 - Ongoing: Your actions are not affected by other players' cards.
Mechanic (4) x 2 - Choose an action in your discard pile that can be played on a base and play it as an extra action.
Steam Man (3) x 3 - Ongoing: Has +1 power if this base has one of your actions played on it.
Captain Ahab (2) x 4 - Talent: Move this minion to a base that has one of your actions played on it
Action
Aggromotive x 1 - Play on a base. Ongoing: If you have a minion here, you have +5 power here.
Change of Venue x 1 - Place one of your actions that is on a base or minion into your hand. Play it again as an extra action.
Difference Engine x 1 - Play on a base. Ongoing: If you have a minion here, draw an extra card at the end of your turn.
Escape Hatch x 1 - Play on a base. Ongoing: When your minions here are destroyed, place them into your hand instead of the discard pile.
Ornate Dome x 1 - Play on a base. Destroy all other players' actions played here. Ongoing: Other players cannot play actions on this base.
Rotary Slug Thrower x 1 - Play on a base. Ongoing: Your minions here each have +2 power.
Scrap Diving x 2 - Place an action from your discard pile into your hand.
Zeppelin x 2 - Play on a base. Talent: Move one of your minions from another base to here, or from here to another base.

在 Zombies 一文中 (https://www.facebook.com/BGPort/posts/483884921955445) ，我們探討過從墓地中挑選咭牌這種能力於 deck building 類咭牌遊戲的厲害之處。Steampunks 的 Mechanic 和 Scrap Diving 讓玩家把 action 從墓地中取回，Mechanic 更能把剛取回手中的 action 打出場中，配合 Aggromotive 簡直是破壞力超越 9000 點的 King Rex。Escape Hatch 亦可讓你把即將被 destroy 的 minion 拿回手中，除了讓你保留多一張 minion 在手，打出時亦可再次發動效果。可是 Zombies 在取回咭牌這方面比較強橫，有 Zombie Lord、Grave Digger、Tenecious Z、Grave Robbing、Not Enough Bullets、They Keep Coming、They’re Coming to Get You 等 11 張咭牌行駛這類效果，亦有 Lend a Hand 這種咭牌控制中後期的戰局。Zombies 無論在質和量都比 Steampunks 來得厲害，但 Steampunks 亦不失為 Upper Tier (https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/143688/smash-faction-power-ranking) 的種族。順帶一提，這個 Tier list 沒有註明該種族在不同人數對以及與不同種族配撘時的加乘，因此只能稍為作參考啊~
另一方面，在 Steampunks 與 Bear Cavalry 的比較中可以看到，增強己方實力其實比破壞對手 minion 來得要強。首先，destroy 通常帶有條件限制，而增加 minion 的力量則比較靈活，幾乎所有己方的 minion 都是合法對象。其次，destroy 通常只有一個目標，每次只可選擇任一對手的其中一隻 minion 來破壞，在多人對戰當中，漁人自然得利。最後，不要忘記 Smash Up 的勝利條件是優先獲得 15分，而不是靠剷除敵方勢力啊！在上述的 Tier list 來說，Bear Cavalry 只屬 Upper Mid Tier，稍遜於 Steampunks。
雖然 Mechanics 配合 Aggromotive 的爆發力驚人，但 Aggromotive 需要來得及時，假若沉底簡直是不堪設想。可是 Steampunks 有 Difference Engine 加速抽牌，推進無限 Aggromotive 輪迴。Steampunks 容易使用，效果直接，適合配上任何種族。
