Zombies 與 Robots 不單是 Core Set 的常勝將軍，更被譽為 “There-is-no-god Tiier” (BGG: https://boardgamegeek.com/…/1…/new-faction-power-pool/page/2) 的最強種族。Robots 單靠自身種族便可以兼顧搶灘得分和補充手牌，爆發力與後續力兼備。Zombies 雖然沒有 Robots 那種全彈發射的威能，但以 “Play an extra minion from your discard pile.” 這類靈活的能力見稱，比 Robots 更適合配撘其他種族。

Minion
Zombie Lord (5) x 1 - You may play an extra minion of power 2 or less from your discard pile on each base where you have no minions.
Grave Digger (4) x 2 - You may place a minion from your discard pile into your hand.
Tenacious Z (2) x 3 - Special: During your turn you may play this card from your discard pile as an extra minion. You may only use the ability of one Tenacious Z each turn.
Walker (2) x 4 - Look at the top card of your deck. Discard it or return it to the top of your deck.

Action
Grave Robbing x 2 - Place a card from your discard pile into your hand.
Lend a Hand x 1 - Shuffle any number of cards from your discard pile into your deck.
Mall Crawl x 1 - Search your deck for any number of cards with the same name and place them into your discard pile. Shuffle your deck.
Not Enough Bullets x 1 - Place any number of minions with the same name from your discard pile into your hand.
Outbreak x 1- Play an extra minion on a base where you have no minions.
Overrun x 1 - Play on a base. Ongoing: Other players cannot play minions on this base. Destroy this action at the start of your turn.
They Keep Coming x 1 - Play an extra minion from your discard pile.
They're Coming To Get You x 1 - Play on a base. Ongoing: On your turn, you may play a minion here from your discard pile instead of from your hand.

Smash Up 是 Deck-building game 這類咭牌遊戲的分支，當牌庫無牌的時候，玩家才會把墓地的咭牌洗勻並加進牌庫，讓遊戲可以繼續。在這種設定之下，從墓地中挑選咭牌這種能力讓玩家可以無顧慮地打出最強的咭牌，不用擔心使用要等到牌庫空虛 shuffle 之時才有機會再次使用。扣除起始的五張手牌，如果你選擇的種族並沒有 “Draw a card” 之類的技能，餘下的 35 張牌需要至少 18 個回合才能抽完，把墓地洗勻加進咭庫，從新盲抽，並不確保你能夠在遊戲完成之前拿到重要的咭牌。Zombies 則讓玩家把上回合丟進墓地的 King Rex 加進手牌，甚至當作 Extra minion 打出場中。

Walker 和Mall Crawl 讓玩家把不要 (或需要) 的咭牌丟進墓地，而 Grave Digger、Grave Robbing 和 Not Enough Bullets 讓玩家把需要的 Minion 從墓地加到手中。Zombie Lord、Tenacious Z、They Keep Coming 和 They're Coming To Get You 甚至讓玩家把墓地中的 Minions 直接打到進中。讓果你並不希望牌庫清空，Lend a Hand 更可以把你任意數量的咭牌從墓地中加進牌庫！此時，整個牌庫的咭牌種類和數量都是你計劃之中，而墓地的咭牌也是按你的策略而保留。
